Sodo Park Seattle Wedding

I always leave each of the weddings I photograph with a moment that stays with me and solidifies the beauty of that couples relationship. For Candace and Jack, there were so many of those moments. Their relationship is so deep and beautiful – and also so much fun. Jack adores Candace for the strengths that she brings and the joy that she exudes to everyone around her. Candace loves Jack for his strength and for always being her rock when she needs it. They cheer each other on. They share in life’s ups and downs. Their love story really shined throughout their wedding celebration from their ceremony vows, to their toasts, to the amazing Hora at the end.

It was an incredible day and I’m excited to share these highlights with you.

Here’s to you, Candace and Jack!

Sodo Park Seattle Wedding

The day started at the Westin Seattle Hotel where Candace was getting ready with her amazing girl squad with the beauty team from Pacific Brides. Jack got ready in the hotel as well, so getting to visit them in both their rooms as they prepared was awesome.

Arriving at Sodo Park

I’m biased when it comes to Sodo Park (and the amazing team at Herban Feast) since I got married to my husband there as well. But really, a Sodo Park Seattle wedding is such an ultimate experience! The hustle and the bustle of Sodo along with the modern industrial vibes makes it one of the most unique venues around.

We selected the venue to be the location of their First Look. Jack was waiting for Candace as she arrived, with his back facing her, and his expression of love and adoration says it all! Candace looked amazing – so beautiful and radiant!

The Ceremony at Sodo Park

Katrina of Love Bloom Weddings transformed the space into an intimate and romantic space with draped greenery and florals everywhere (she also did the florals at Katherine and Micah’s wedding too!). It highlighted Candace and Jack perfectly during their ceremony which evokes tears and laughter equally.

The bistro lights that are draped down the venue make the reception space so romantic! Add in some candles and it’s the perfect setting for a beautiful meal. Candace and Jack’s family and friends gave beautiful toasts to celebrate their love and their relationship. And I adored all the guests getting to laugh and enjoy the festivities!

And get a load of that cake table! WOW! It’s a stunner and the greenery background with the neon sign gave just the right amount of edginess.

Candace and Jack were so sweet to ask for a photo with me! Even though mask-wearing all day wiped off half my make-up, I’m so thankful to be a part of their wedding day memories and for them having me there! It was such a beautiful day and an honor to create their wedding photos – their first family heirlooms!
