Seattle Carkeek Park Engagement Session

Having an engagement session in the middle of winter is always tricky. But, sometimes everything falls into place and it’s amazing! I’m excited to share this Carkeek Park Engagement Session with you! Jisela and Jay are the sweetest. When I first met them, Jay told me the story of how he proposed to Jisela. Even though the proposal itself was super sweet, it was the care he took in preparing that choked me up. Jay knew how important family is to Jisela and her life. He knew that having her family’s blessing was important. Without Jisela knowing, Jay went to visit Jisela’s mother. Quickly, she realized what he was there for – to ask for her blessing. At this part of the story, I’m basically choking back the tears for the happiness. Not only did Jay get Jisela’s mother’s blessing, but he also got it from her sister as well. And then it was on to planning the proposal.

Just as Jisela’s family is important to her, Jay’s family is also important to him. He wanted to propose to Jisela with both their families present. His graduation party was the perfect time, since his family were in from Virginia. As the party was concluding, he took the plunge. He shared his heart to Jisela surrounded by all their family and friends. Everyone cheered them on. People were in tears. Clearly, Jisela said yes, and the rest is history!

For their Carkeek Park engagement session, we got the best of both world. We had the beautiful trees and lush greenery, along with the beautiful shore and beach. These two lovebirds kept cuddled up to keep warm, but they sure do make love look easy!
